Weekend report, 7/26/21
Most summer leagues are now about halfway through, so how have FTSC teams fared thus far?
The FTSC women's teams continue their winning ways, the The Feds remaining undefeated in both of their leagues (only failing first place due to games in hand) and Victorious Secret stringing out three straight wins after their opening loss. Victorious Secret produced the biggest win of this past weekend, with the six-goal win being fueled by five different goal scorers, including Ash (hat trick) and Amelia (nominated for game MVP). Congrats ladies on making it to first place!
Men's team YUCK also leads their D2 league, while Ball Bangers and Finlandia are facing stiff competition down in D3. In Finlandia's game this weekend, they held Charruas United Red Bull DogeCoin 1908 (yes that's their full team name) to a largely close game that remained 0-1 until the last five minutes, at which point fatigue caught up to the FTSC players and they let in three late goals.
Crock Pot Body ultimately played their opponents close as well but still dropped their second straight, with their two early wins keeping them in the upper half of the table. They return to play tonight against current league leaders Moops FC; The Feds, YUCK, and Finlandia also play this week while Victorius Secret and Ball Bangers have byes this week.
